Here's a source for green tripe online:
http://greentripe.com/
Bravo also has green tripe (they don't show it online but they do have it) so if you have a distributor near you they can probably order it:
http://www.bravorawdiet.com/bravoretailers.html
FWIW, my former boss' GSD was very thin until she hit 2 - 2.5 years. She then filled out nicely.
Cool...I found a bravo dealer real close....you rock Sarah!
Can anyone tell me the difference between the tripe at wally and the "green tripe" you are all referring to?

Hah! Gotcha! (grins as she sees Connie twitch)
I twitched too, I nearly fell off my chair...
Levi, looks good from what I can see. People always say crap like "Oh she is so skinny" OR "Do you feed your dogs everyday?"
I like it when I walk into the vet office and he still says, "Now this is what a dog is supposed to look like."
With that and their health, energy, coats and teeth...that is all I care about.

The white tripe you see in the grocery is bleached and stripped of all nutritional value. It is worthless for dogs.
Green tripe hasn't been cleaned or processed so it's *pure* gut full of lots of good things for your dog.
And it smells heavenly

No bones are showing or anything like that but for crying out loud!!!
Put him on a diet. Reduce food intake by 10-15%.

I am sorry to have to be technical, but the tripe that I have been buying at the store is not the white tripe. I see that stuff right next to it. It is uncooked tripe. However, I am not sure it is nessisarily the "green tripe" you all refer to.
I called the only dealer of Bravo in Wichita, and they gave me a price of 45.80/case. (A case is 10 2 lb tubes.) The nice guy on the phone told me the tripe from Bravo was "grass fed." I know that many times the store bought meat is from animals that are not being fed a very good diet. Far from that, in fact.
Also, do they sell beef and pork tripe? I think the tripe I have been buying is pork, but I am not sure. So confused....
Connie??....Help!

I don't care if it says "uncooked." What color is it, Rick? Green tripe is greenish nasty brown, and there ain't a snowball's chance in hell that it's in any grocery store!
Price sounds ok for Bravo; which kind?

If you got it at the grocery store, I can safely say that it is NOT the green tripe under discussion.
Also, it's kinda brown, in my experience..... maybe greenISH.
