Well you youngsters outta be pleased with yourselves......you all have a better handle on dogs and dog training than I did at that age! Seriously, it's really great for old codgers like me to see young folks on such a solid path......I was a pure fool and an idiot for way too long and made more mistakes with my dogs than I care to remember. Leerburg has been excellant in teaching me all manner of things....the most important being that I have a lot to learn! Welcome all of you!

CODGERS! I'm telling on you. The people in my age group (not mentioning any names -cough- Old Earth Dog Bob Scott, David Frost....) prefer "seasoned."
Codgers.....

Yeah, codgers is as much a term of endearment as "spry" is. Ever notice that no one but a codger is "spry" ?
How about "experienced" instead of seasoned? Or... MATURE!

In some societies the older people are revered, and honored for their experience and knowledge.....

Yeah ... some OTHER societies.
So Mary, take what you can get from the codgers. You never know when we're gonna turn crotchety.

haha, yeah. I will be 22 in a few weeks, and have done more with dogs than anyone my age that i personally know. I know here, i am well outnumbered and out experienced.....
it's nice to know exactly who is about what age here, some younger people give the answers of trainers with years of experience.
all my college friends think i am nuts, with too many dogs. All my dog friends think i am nuts, but i can safely say i know more about dogs than any of them, which is sad. They are all 30 and up, te majority around 55-65, and well, here i am 22 and just really disturbed by some of the dog "advice" they are giving others, and me.......
so i am alone when it comes to my dogs, and have to resort to online dog forums.
No one else understands me(doesn't THAT sound like a teenager, lol)

This is a perpetual challenge on the internet. The advice can be perfect, of course, but wouldn't it be great if it was prefaced with "on one dog I had" or "on the dozens of dogs I have owned and/or trained" ?
So unless you're already familiar with the poster, it's helpful to do a little search on the suggestion and see what comes up.

And we have pretty much hijacked Mary's intro. ;-)
Mary, you're warmly welcomed and your pack looks great!
