Oh dear...is this a Czech? I swear, I know a Czech GSD who could use one of those stainless steel crates from Ray Allen! If it makes you feel better my dog accrued about $2000 in property damage with her teeth by her first birthday...
Probably a stupid question but is she employed? That seemed to do the trick for mine, but I know that doesn't always work. Hopefully time will ease it a bit - how old is she exactly?

My daughter played fetch with her literally for an hour today non-stop and she just does not get tired.
Sounds very much like an old dog I had. We finally found one thing the old man would finally get pooped on. Swimming. Basically it went like this. I would stand waist deep in a river with the leash and hold the dog there til he was huffing and puffing pretty well against the current. We'd let him out... if he was still bucking to go we'd go back in the river normally him thrilled to go back in for more fun even in winter (crazy dog). 30 - 45 minutes of really really good exercise with lots of mini breaks (and a numb butt for me) for the rest of the evening being sane. We did have the advantage of having a river in the yard but I'm told a 4 foot deep swimming pool (I think they're about 300 bucks at costco) does the same thing.
We did reduce this as he got older in life and it became clear that degenerative myelopathy was getting the best of him but happily swimming was one of the few exercises he could do towards the end without pain or fear due to blindness.
I have a 3 year old female and she has just started to chew wood. For the last 2 weeks, she stands on her hind legs at one tree in my yard, barks and chews away. I have no idea why this started and am a little confused about how to stop it. She has plenty of play time, an orby ball to chew, a rope toy to chew, a Kong and I give her a soup bone every night. Any suggestions?
Check your PM's, but I will also answer your question here Jennifer. Try wrapping chicken wire around the tree trunk so she can't get at it, then emphasize to her how interesting other things are. The tree will become boring and she will start focusing on things that are easier to get at.
when the dog is not around soak it with somehting nasty like bitter apple spray. My dogs used to chew the a/c lines in the back yard. When i would put stuff around it and they saw me they would mess with it. once i did it with them not looking (bitter apple) the problem as solved
Also I just thought of something. I was eating some Sushi and put too much wasabi on it and that intense nasal burn brought to mind that I've never met a dog that liked wasabi. It is a nasty intense burn that goes up your nose. If you have any way to get ahold of some I would try it. I am going to write this down for my own future reference - can't believe I forgot.
