i specifically want a ADBA bred "game" bred apbt-for weight pulling and adba conformation.
if it was both adba and ukc-that is fine-but at least adba registered.
yeah-it is really tough-i wish there was a ed and leerburg of the apbt world. instead there are the pits that look more like english bulldogs with pit heads.
i have most of these sites bookmarked already-i have been researching apbt's for quite some time-and i will continue to learn...
now it is locating breeder time....
Terra, can you show me where you got the info Diane's dogs being from Sorrell's? I can't see that info. I've never heard of Sorrells before and from looking at the site, I don't see anything impressive. Maybe a few conformation titles??

"Taken from Boldog Kennel "DIRK"FR Brevet, SchH III
I ran into a guy who had some dogs from Bert Sorrells. A guy who had tried dogs from Colby and Patrick, and had settled on Sorrells dogs. He bred the dogs only for himself, something I respect. He offered me a pup out of his great little bitch who was an unbelievable weight pull dog. I chose Dirk at two days of age. The litter was "cookie cutter" in appearance, but something made my hand go right to Dirk. Four weeks later I picked Dirk up. I have yet to meet a dog which matches this animal's work drive and gentle soundness with people. As far as I know, he is the first SchH III "game bred" dog, and he was trained with "pure positive" methods. From everything I have seen from the rest of his family, Dirk has inherited this line's strengths."
If you scroll down the page you will the see the pedigree and she seems to be breeding pure Sorrell. http://www.workingpitbull.com/Amp.html
There are more references on the site but this is all I could find right now.
Sorrell's site is not that impressive but Diane is doing great things with his dogs.
if you truly want a gamebred dog, you're not going to be able to look online. for obvious reasons, those with real gamedogs do not often have websites advertising what they have.
you CAN get dogs down from those who made a name for themselves with some good ones, back in the day and then started producing litters to sell down from those dogs, by surfing the web though. ie garner, and farron, and sorrels & patrick and the like. it's also pretty easy to find people who breed down from the old boudreaux dogs as well.
i know of a few pitbull people in northern va and md breeding for and working in SCHH - dogs down from cheek's red baroness etc. i believe most of their dogs are red nosed, and they wouldn't call most of them game dogs anymore...
