The vet said I need to help her she does not have enough milk yet.
Come to find out the skin thing is from the fleas. She had them horrible.
She is on a med to help her skin.
I am pulling the runt and the biggest 2 times a day to feed them.
My vet is going to spay her for free and give the lady free vet care. So she will go back but the first time she does not show up to a apointment she wil call me. And we will handle it.
I have the pups for the next two weeks I am moving friday on top of all this. Then I will keep two and have to give her back to her owner. So I will bottle feed two from there and keep one at least.
Well the lady just came over here drunk wanting her dog back so I gave her one puppy and the mom.
And tried to give her the meds and stuff she would not take them.
I dont want to call animal control cause I dont want the puppy in the shelter where she would for sure die from parvo.
So I will go check later and have 3 that I am bottle feeding now.
This will be fun called the vet she said keep them inside at all times and I have the heating pads and stuff ready already.
I will keep yall update all puppys are strong.
The vet gave me a scale to use to wiegh them 2 times a day she said keep and booklet on them daily.

Um...Which would you rather have happen?
Pup and mom are in a shelter where there is a possibility of catching a disease but where staff will be on-hand (and sober!) to care for them properly...
OR
Pup and mom are living with a someone not able to take care of herself (let alone animals), and who refuses to give them medical attention they need? It's the frickin' morning and she stumbles over drunk and refuses to take the medication?
I would call animal control ASAP and get Mama and baby out of that home. Their chances are better in a shelter than where they are now.

I have to agree...
Even if mom were a healthy dog (which she clearly isn't) if she and pup go back to a one bedroom apartment with NINE people of questionable integrity living in it, there are bound to be problems in these very early and important days for that baby... you did a great job with the pups Stephanie, but giving this woman back her dog without notifying animal control of the situation sounds like it'll be like watching a train wreck.
I did call I asked them if I could foster them and find homes even they said there will be a 72 hour hold and then they would have to go to court.
So I called they have not come yet no one knows about the other three.
I did not even tell animal control. I have a old baby crib not the big one but the one that you use for when they first come home. There in there and doing great. I have been feeding them every hour and a half. and rubbing the little butts everytime they eat.
They are doing great.
Oh my vets knows about all four though.
Also wanted to add my internet will be cut off on friday sense we are moving but it should be back on by monday at the lastest.
So I will keep yall updated to what happens up until friday then I will be away for a few days
If this woman is having financial difficulties to the extent that she is having her utilities disconnected, she can't be expected to provide financially for these dogs, at a time when vet expenses are likely to be a regular occurance.
Add to that a crowded house, with what I imagine to be questionable hygiene and safety.
I'm trying to be tactful here... but it sounds like this woman can't take care of herself. Placing her in charge of mom and pups, is ill-advised at BEST.
