From the date on your post your dog hasn't been completely himself for 8 days.
If you haven't already taken him to the vet, I'd suggest doing so now for a complete check up. Yes, a screw or a hunk of wood in his gut could have made him sick...and it could still be there. I'd want to make sure it wasn't.
. . .It's real wood, but who knows what kind of stain they coated it with. . .
Don't know if you mean solid wood or plywood, but us woodworkers know that the adhesives China uses in their wood products is nasty stuff. Same is likely true for their finishes. I wouldn't think a very small amount would cause your problems, but who knows.

He won't eat his raw food at all. I bought some canned IAM's when I was at the store yesterday to see if he would eat that, and he picked at it over a couple of hours until it was gone. I bought some canned EVO today, and he's picking at that also. But he's definitely not eating as much as he should.
He IS drinking a lot of water though, so that's good.
The only other things I can think of:
- Noticed about a 1x1 inch corner of a thin door mat is missing. It's a thin rubberized back with a thin wooly coating on it.
- Golf balls contain lead, which I didn't know until today. There is one out there within his reach, but it doesn't look like he messed with it. I removed it.
- Some weeds were sprayed with Roundup, but he was kept away from them for 3+ days.
- Food poisoning from bad chicken? For awhile after this, he was still eating just fine, but wouldn't touch the chicken at all. He would eat around it and leave it.
It could have been food poisoning, and maybe he's just apprehensive of all food at this point. He only vomited 2-3 times, and that was almost a week ago. His stools are mostly solid now, but there's a tiny bit of watery liquid that comes out with the solid stuff. He doesn't act lethargic, and he's otherwise himself. He just doesn't care about food at all right now. I even tried spiking his food with bits of feta cheese, he normally goes CRAZY over feta or any other cheese, but he wouldn't even touch it.
I just took him to the vet yesterday. They did a barium X-ray and saw nothing except for inflamed stomach lining.
So they put him on:
- Famotidine
- Sucralfate
- Meoclopramide
And some bland canned food. He seems to be doing a bit better.
Now that I think about it, I was using the Nupro supplement with Glucosamine in it. In humans, glucosamine can cause inflamation of the stomach lining. It happened to me when I was taking it for a neck injury, and it took several excruciating months to figure out what was causing it. After I stopped taking it, it took a couple of weeks for the pain to go away. So, I wonder if the glucosamine was causing the issue.
