I apologize if someone has already said this (I didn't have time to read through the whole string), but I just went through this on Friday. I changed my pug over to Embark when I got my GSD pup. I noticed immediately when I started them on Embark from Science Diet (I know, shame, shame!!) that they had seeds in their business. I took my pug to get bathed at the vet, and when I picked her up, the staff announced in a room full of people that "your dog has tapeworms". I said, that is IMPOSSIBLE. They brought the assistant who had walked the pug up to the front and she insisted that the poop was "full of tapeworms". Not only was I insulted (because my dogs have never had worms) and embarrassed (yes, I need a new vet), but I was very frustrated. I went right home, made my pug poop, brought the sample back with the box of Embark to show them the ingredients. Needless to say, I was right.
Michael is right. My animals have had tapeworm before. (my cat many years ago, and more recently one of my dogs). They are SO much easier to get rid of than, say, the fleas that caused them. Just one happy dose of Drontal and poof... gone.
You can look up MY tapeworm thread if it will make you feel any better...
Well I'm just glad no matter how easy "they" are to get rid of that isn't what it was. I am a little squeamish with stuff like that. I just can't imagine "them" in my baby's belly? Oh and then when I thought about me and the kids well that just sent me over.
