... I say 5 days and then add 1 pump of salmon oil w/vit. E.
I agree.
The three days has become my fallback because typically, everyone wants to throw another ingredient in the MINUTE there is one semi-improved poop after a bout of pudding or water poops.
So I started hoping three days would be doable, where they were just laughing wildly at being patient for a week.
There is hardly anyone who asks, gets the advice, and then actually waits through a few days of perfect poops to make sure. It's like a compulsion ... creeping closer and closer to the freezer with a maniacal chuckle .....
Here is my 1/2 cents worth. Write it down, keep a log. When I went thru runny poop/hard poop with mine, it became easier after I took Connie's suggestion and kept a log.

There. THAT's off my chest. LOL! And it can double for the bland gut-soothing diet that is often totally impossible for owners to just leave be for a few days while the gut recovers. The second the diarrhea firms up a bit, the next day there's a post like this: "Well, there was an almost-firm poop at noon today (YAY!), so for supper I gave the soupy rice and poached skinless chicken, but I added a pork neck, seven livers, a kidney, and a BLT."

:laugh::laugh:I wasn't ready for the BLT at the end.....I snorted.
