Ok it's been a few weeks now - everyone loves their new dinner. Have added new items gradually with no ill effects. My elderly bitch has gained weight, so needs adjusting but I have concerns over the pup.
She's 10 1/2 weeks old, currently weighs 10.4kg. She is gaining weight at a decent rate but is really too skinny, she is currently eating more than my adult male (40kg eating 800g) - I know puppies can eat 5-10% of their current weight, which is anything from 500g - 1kg - it seems a lot. She seems hungry after every meal (still feeding 4 times daily) throws her bowl around and cries, would it be better to shift to 3 meals? Does she need more than 10% daily?

I am having trouble with so many conversions. She is almost 23 pounds?
Isn't a kilo two pounds or so? So one to two pounds of food if you figure 5 to 10%?
How much is she eating (more exact than "more than 800 grams" )? She is eating more than 36 ounces? Or am I doing it wrong.
Is the fat that comes with the poultry left in her food, and is the muscle meat on the side also fat-containing? Exactly what is in the 800 grams, I guess I am asking?
Can you post a link to a picture of her from the side with the photographer at ground level and another from standing over her looking down at her back?

I don't understand pounds - I'll go weigh her in pounds / ounces and take some photos.
For the last 5 days or so, I have fed her 800g but if she seems really hungry, I have tossed in a bit more - maybe a few necks, part of a back - some pilchards whatever I have available. Probably less than 100g extra.
She doesn't seem have a problem with fat, so have left it on - I tend to feed the really ultra fatty bits to the big dogs though. She is fed gererally chicken bones, hamburger or chunks of beef, tinned fish, fresh fish, tripe, she has had rabbit, liver, kidney, heart.
So today she had about 400g backs, 200g beef chunks, 150g trout w/bones & skin, 50g tripe and a spoon of veggies.

Has the rate of gaining gone down since you switched?
Pictures will be a huge help.
We can tell better whether throwing the bowl around and crying really means hunger or just "I like this new food and I want A LOT."

She was weaned onto raw. She was a big chubby puppy at 8 weeks, she's still big for 8 weeks but not chubby at all.
She was about 7kg at 8 weeks, so that's a kg gain per week, fairly steady.

That was her weight gain rate up to eight weeks?
What rate now?
Chubby isn't so good, as I'm sure you know.

Sorry I mean she's gained a kg a week since I had her.
I don't want her chubby, of course. I'm paranoid about puppy hips, always have been.

here's a pic from above, I'm having trouble uploading the others and keeping her still for a sideways pic was impossible without someone else to hold the camera.

She looks fine from this angle (not the dreaded pickle shape!), but if you could sit on the floor (or lie on the floor on your stomach) and wait for her to turn sideways, perhaps by tossing a high-value treat to a spot that will lure her in the right direction, we could see the tuck-up behind her rib cage.
