I taught mine to back up between the couch and the coffee table because that was the spot that trying to turn around caused the most problems anyway.

That is how I taught it too, by moving into them and rewarding after a step or two. I wasn't using markers when I trained Nico, but I do now.
I don't have sound on this computer and the video is playing kinda choppy, but I can see a happy, interested Chula Lynne. That looks like good training to me.

Though I admit, like Connie, I was completely confused by the sound at first - your birds had me thinking you were whistling or clicking to Chula at really strange times! But the longer I listened, the more obvious it was...

The budgies are great! When it's warm (pretty much all the time except right now I put them outside on our front patio and I have my coffee in the morning out there. Very relaxing, for some reason, to hear them chirping and cheeping...
