Hahaha. My wife can't play Doom 3 either.
"Half Life" and "Call of Duty" are the only real games, "Halo" is OK
America's Army is a recruitment tool and training sim for the US Army. Here's a description of the training. In AA2 you go through BCT at Ft. Benning with marksmanship, the Eagle Tower, other weapons (M9/M249/BDM/M203/M67 frag), and finally MOUT with either M4 or M9. Then AIT with HMMMV driver training, CROWS training, Javelin missile training, and ES2 training with either M4 or M9. If you get expert in marksmanship (36 out of 40) you can do Sniper training with the M24 and M82. You can do the Airborne jump tower and then Special Forces SERE. You can also do medic training with real videos that cover airway management, controlling bleeding, and treating shock. Those videos are each followed with a multiple choice test. AA3, which I haven't played yet, is even more indepth. Online play is pretty much like any other MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first person shooter) but, the gunfire and explosions are supposed to be as close to real life as possible. Oh, the games are also free.
The last realistic game I played before AA2 was Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. The MOH franchise, while not quite as good as the COD franchise, is pretty good.
You know, I've never liked Halo.
This is why I only play the "Hello Kitty" game!
There's a Barbie game where you can ride your horse on the beach or the meadow! That'll give you another game you can play.
(My wife managed a GameStop for a few years. )

While I can understand that Pitbull owners fighting hard to break the bad reputation of their dog breed could be upset... it's a video game.
The race choice is stereotypical and could've been anything from GSDs to Rotts... I doubt mafiosi ever used chihuahuas as "weapons".
It's just my opinion, but I think some people are overreacting to this just like some people are overreacting to violence in video games in general.
It's a game. It's fantasy. Kids who hit schools with UZIs like at Columbine aren't necessarily geeks who spend their childhood infront of Grand Theft Auto thinking "This is so cool, I should try it in my neighborhood".
Don't get me wrong, Pitbulls are prohibited in my city because of their bad press and I think it's pretty retarded. But I won't ever blame a crappy web based game for perpetuating the myth...

Umm... not to change the subject, but Eric Harris and Dylan Kliebold, the Columbine shooters, were obsessive violent video gamers. To the extent that Harris designed levels for a certain violent video game that are still played by fans, to this day.
There's a reason both the US Military, and most Police departments use video games to train their personnel.

@Aaron Myracle well this thread has derailed to <Insert Cartoon Here> Adventures a while back so I think in a sense it's more on topic!
Harris and Kliebold were messed up kids, bullied and revolted. The media made a good job at demonizing video games and heavy/industrial metal music as well as the NBK movie, blaming those for somehow fueling the assassins' anger against the world.
We had a similar case in my area with a guy named Kimveer Gill. Compare his profile and he's basically a Harris/Klebold clone. Messed up, no friends, attention seeking.
But really, was it dark music/violent video games that messed these kids up or would they still had done their attacks if these things were nonexistent?
(trying to bring this back on original topic) Dogs were used as weapons way before computers or TV existed. Heck, even innocent police TV shows such as Rex clearly shows the viewer that a GSD should not be messed with.
I simply have a hard time believe that an innocent and nice person would play Mafia Wars or any game and say "Whoa you can train dogs to be weapons, let me go beat the crap of my Pitbull non-stop to turn him aggressive and watch him kill children in the park!". My point is that people who act as such, would've done it no matter what film they viewed or games they played.
As for Mafia Wars propagating bad stereotypes against Pitbulls, I know I would be upset if I was a Pitbull owner wanting to make people accept my dog. But I think I'd direct people to Cesar Millan's Daddy instead of a "boycott this facebook game" petition.

The thing about first person shooters is that they teach you quick target acquisition and a focused frame of mind, even with the original Doom. Music also has a profound effect on both a person's frame of mind and emotional state. While these entertainment sources most certainly should not be vilified, you really do have to be honest with them and their effects.
The addition of pits as weapons in Mafia Wars doesn't bother me at all. I see thugs walking around with pits, using chains for leashes, pretty much daily and my recently departed dog was half rott and half pit.
