At first I thougth "THIS much $$$ for a dog brush???" but now know it was worth every dime. Love it! This tool does more once a week than all other tools do every day.
That was my reaction. I had the huge good fortune to receive one as a gift, and now I know that it's worth every dime.
Now I take every chance I get to tell GSD folks that this is something they will get $50 worth out of in a few short weeks during the biggest shedding times (which with one dog I have is 12 months per year).
There are many LB items that are honestly the best dog products I ever bought, and I take every opportunity to tell folks about them because they are so darned good. The heated mat, the collar Spot Lite, the Furminator, the 20-foot cotton line, the leather leashes, all that amazing selection of marker-size treats (like Simon & Huey's and Grizzly and the little tubs of dozens of soft treats) and the Snap-Open Bait Bag .... not to mention many of the toys that have gone from dog to dog!
Soon it'll be time to start hinting to the rels to start saving up for our LB holiday gift certificates!
I just got a double bladed furminator and used it for the first time today. I was drooling 10 seconds into it.
Drooling, that's the word I was looking for to describe how I felt the first time I used it. However, I don't know what "double bladed" is. Is it new/different than the original?
I also had the very good fortune to receive one as a gift (I have one terrific friend) but I've never seen them for less than fifty bucks. I live in a little rural, southern, bodunk town and everything is cheaper here, but the Furminator is fifty bucks.
Also, for the warnings about brush burn, etc., I simply looked up the Furminator (Google is my friend, too.) and it gave explicit details for how to use and how and on what NOT to use. With typical prudence, one shouldn't have a problem and if you do, call me and I will walk you thru it (all the while making you feel foolish. lol)
