Liverwurst. Cat food stars for routine rewards. Leftovers. For teaching "shut the front door by jumping on it" he got pieces of bacon-wrapped crab stuffed scallops in cheese sauce (YUM) which were "doggy bagged" from my 34th anniversary dinner-- I'd spaced them out in the refrigerator, was afraid to eat them myself -- Pinker learned a new thing in record time with that reward. He was berserk over that treat.
Hot dogs, string cheese, cooked chicken/beef, peanut butter, cat food. I'll mix a high value treat like roast beef 50/50 with kibble in a treat bag to create some variable rewards.
Redbarn meat rolls and K9Magic. Both add variety (liver and green tripe) to the diet, have a nice non-flaky texture and are easily cut into perfect pieces. And cheese, of course. Raw boneless meat and organs at home often delivered as treats - the only way to slow the doggies down.
Zukes, especially the salmon flavor. I love them because he never gets sick of them and they're easily portable/non messy. He's also a fool for roasted chicken, freeze-dried liver, peanut butter in a squeeze tube, hot dogs (I only buy the kosher ones)...pretty much anything. He'll even work for carrot slices and pieces of apple. Leftovers are another good source for training-treat variety.
I keep a mix of goodies in a Ziploc bag that fits inside my bait bag to keep everything fresh and keep the bag clean.

I use stuff that resembles the meat rolls that Ana linked. The dachshunds are so small and "good-doers" that I don´t feed them when I do my 3-4 sessions a day (one wouldn´t even eat because she is full) so I can´t use only cheese or liver. But that workes just fine- I cut it up in a dogfood measuring cup and keep it refrigerated. I also use Platinum dog food but it is not as high value.
