Bully sticks have become my pups BEST FRIEND! lol If at night to calm him down if he is a chewer give him a bully stick for about 20 mins before bed. Gets all the nervous energy out of the little guy. We leave ours alone to roll around the floor and bat at it himself. Wears him out so he crashes pretty easily.
Welcome and Yes these guys are a great bunch! Also, Can we see some pictures of Jack?? *gives puppy eyes*
Haha, that's why people usually get rid of them. They supposedly can be really fast and good on rough terrain. So if you don't see me posting for a while I am recovering from a landroller ride!
Corina, It might be helpful if you limit Jack's interaction with other folks while he forms a good bond with you and your husband (who I'm glad to hear is not to be re-cycled.. ). You are learning more and more about this new family member every hour and seeing how quickly he can learn new behaviors (marker training). In my opinion, since there is so much you don't know about his history, it could be beneficial to build your bond, train, play and have a good time prior to introducing too many new folks into his life. JMHO.
That is what we thought. Him and the GS take turns playing in the yard. We are hoping that they will learn to get along (mostly problem on Jack's side the GS is a pretty good dog. When Jack snuck out and went after him all he did was gently place Jack's head in his mouth and push him to the ground, did not snarl, bite or over react) We have complete confidence that Jack will become a well rounded "good dog" Will take time and training on both our parts
