.... For someone who has control over their dog there is not reason they couldn't wait ....
That's a good point that almost goes without saying. Of course uncontrolled un-contained dogs are a different category from controlled contained dogs whose owners don't neuter before full growth.
Is Michael having just the routine puppy problems or are we talking about aggression issues of some sort?
The only thing I can remember is something about barking in the car.
If we're on about aggression, what kind of aggression are we looking at?
Michael - what are the issues which led you to seek professional help?
Maybe in bullet format so that the issues are clear? (ie
the 400 wouldent have been that that bad if I didnot miss a week and a half of work on top of off it due to being sick because I don't get sick pay I just need a week to get back on trac b4 I pay for a trainer atm and you don't even wanna know what my 14 year old daughter hit me up for at the mall for school clothes I still plan on giving jennie a chance to see if she can help and the agression we are talking abought is fear based

Michael, You do not need to explain your personal finances - they DO NOT effect your ability to be consistant with, train properly, etc...
I wish you the best with your dog Michael. I'm not sure you are going about this correctly however...
Michael you sound like a very nice well intentioned person but from what I can gather from all of your past posts it sounds as if you are a little overwhelmed by your dog.
I am not a trainer and can only give you advice on my past experience with many rescue/foster dogs……so before you do anything else please make sure that this breed is the right breed for you and your family, research the information on the Cane Corso temperament fully……there is no shame in admitting a mistake and resolving it, there is only shame (and sometimes massive pain and damage) in making a bad situation worse.
Next (again from my experience), neutering can help calm aggressive tendencies, but it is NOT a quick fix cure all for aggression.
If after more research you are still convinced that this dog is for you, then start from scratch with your dog’s training, be consistent, listen to the great advice that is freely given on this forum and get ready for some hard work.
BTW, just some food for thought……I have owned a ‘fear based’ aggressive dog and I did keep him, but it was never ending training, and being aware and prepared for every situation, 24/7 x 365 days a year.
Neutering isn't going to change the fear aggression issues that you have with your dog. It will, however, keep this dog from ever breeding or getting very strong & out of control when a female in heat is around the neighborhood or out in public. (alot of young firt heat females are around & many owners don't even know that their pup is in heat, especially the first time they come in which can be quite young in some breeds) Controling a male wanting to get to a female in heat is 10x more difficult then normal obedience needed to control a dog.
Michael, fear-based aggression (afraid, unpredictable(not all known trigers)/no forewarning like growling etc) can be far more dangerous to the public & family members then a civil aggresive dog (confident, stable,) especially in the wrong or inexperienced hands.
Fear based aggression is the driver in many dog bite law suits. This kind of dog is a very serious liability to own. I have been there & owned a FA dog & there is no a fix for this,
Please consider carefully the further issues you can create with a dog like this (as there is no REAL 'fix' for this problem) by working with an unqualified trainer.
I agree with Anne.....my life was never the same, the dog had a good life be it very restricted and calm, but my life was changed to suit what was best for the dog!
