My ultimate wish would be for people to get their heads out of their butts so there would be no need for animal rescues. But, since I know that will never happen, I wish that there will never be a shortage of compassionate and loving people to run the necessary rescues.
I wish puppy mills were illegal, and that all puppies that were born would be born into loving, nurturing situations.
I wish that all people who owned dogs cared enough about them to honor them for the wonderful species that they are, instead of screwing them up by pretending they're furry people.
Small scale, I wish everyone in my neighborhood would keep their dogs contained properly, instead of letting them run loose. And I wish the neighbors across the street would not let their dogs stay outside, barking and howling their heads off at all hours of the day and night.
I'd love to own a sighthound (Whippet or borzoi, or both!) and have a place to lure-course it.
I wish our basement would be finished before the new baby comes, but that's not going to happen wihout the intervention of God or HGTV.
Personal; Have my dog *not* think that all small white fluffy dogs are horrible monsters that need to be eliminated.
LOL Debbie, sounds like your dog and mine are a lot alike. I’m not sure they’re thinking so much to eliminate as they may be wanting to teach them a few manners. "Fifi, can you yappy bark squeak Alpha Roll?"

It's the yippy, squeaky bark I bet! That and the easy-to-see, moving white coat, not immediately recognizable as a dog, reads like prey. Even so, my dog loves everybody, even the little fluffy things, until they start in with that "Yip Yip Yip!". It drives him BUGGY, and it makes him squeak like a tea kettle until we can go somewhere that's AWAY.
