I think I may go the way of the grinder. Any suggestions on which one to get. The ones I have found have been between $500-$600. Although I really don't want to spend that kind of money at the moment, if that is what it takes then so be it. But, if I end up de-boning the chicken and using eggshells to help supplement the bones, what would you recommend per serving. He is a 60lb. Dobie.
That's what I'd do-- grind meat and bones. Alternatively, crushed eggshell can be used to provide a calcium source along with boneless meat. Connie can weigh in on the ratio on that.
900 mg of elemental calcium to a pound of boneless meat. Eggshell would be my preference because of the unknown phosphorus content clogging up the ratio with bonemeal.
None added to balanced RMBs that are ground, of course..... just to boneless meat.

It's much easier calculated per pound of boneless meat. Do it while the meat is in the form that you know the number of pounds it is rather than by the serving.
