Yeah same here. We had thundersnow 2ft of snow and the dogs are loving it. Have a hard time getting them in. inside we play fetch or just learn some easy tricks.
I took all 3 dogs out to play for about 15 minutes this morning. They were chasing frisbees through 18-24 inches of snow. My dogs are all 17.5 - 22 inches tall. Came back in for breakfast and the two youngsters were still chomping at the bit to do something. So I went back out with them for another 20 minutes of swimming through the snow for frisbees. They slept for an hour after that. They were ready to go again after lunch. Crazy Border Collies.
The weather here is disgusting today. Freezing rain all morning, wich turned to nasty, slick frozen slush covering all surfaces outdoors. We can't even go for a walk!
This is the worst winter we have had in a very long time. I usually stay pretty upbeat about the weather but I'm having a hard time this year.
We finally ventured out today, Loki and the kid were driving me crazy. We walked to the park and went sledding for a little while. Loki was the only dog so I let him loose and he had a blast chasing Tyler down the hill and meeting other people.
We only stayed about 15 minutes because it was like 7 degrees and we don't have adequate clothing for prolonged exposure to that kind of cold, and we still had to walk home.
On the way back the neighbors had their sweet teenage female labradoodle outside playing. Lulu and Loki were nose to nose before I could do anything to stop it. I just stayed quiet and let the leash go slack, I figured any reaction on my part would likely make it worse.
He actually did really well, he didn't play but he didn't hackle or growl or bite her face off either!

That was a good response since they were already nose to nose - any tightening up on your part could very easily have triggered a reaction. Ya' did good Jennifer.
She is about as non threatening as a dog can get too, just a fuzzy bouncy silly pup. But she did have the good sense to be polite and back off when it was clear he didn't want to play.
We might just work on these too getting together some more
