I went to Karen Pryor's ClickerExpo and talked to her and her staff quite a bit.
I wish I had saved my money.
I have watched a lot of ME videos online and like what he says.
I visited Tom Rose's school about a year ago.
he is semi-retired and has former students teaching parts of his classes - but he still teaches every day.
KPA students that i met at clicker expo did not impress me.
I would take a class from michael ellis and then attend TR, if I was serious and had all the time and money necessary. there are plenty of books on +R and clicker training, and TR goes over it too - in fact you have to train one dog entirely using +R at his school.

I totally agree -I have five DVDs now and they have all been worth every penny.
I am fortunate to live in California and plan on taking Michael's "Motivation" class in July -any other LB folks going?
Oh gosh....somewhere I have video of KP attempting to train a dog at a seminar. Wish I knew where that was. It wasn't pretty.
KP needs to be credited in helping to "popularize" motivational training methods. But, if you are looking to actually learn how to do it right and put it into practice yourself, there are better teachers at this point.
I wish I saved the crazy amount of money I spent at clickerexpo and bought all the leerburg dvds I want.
I keep saving up money to buy dvds, and then I use the money to rescue dogs and cats from shelters and get them vetted and into good homes.
I keep thinking, ok, I'll use this money to buy xxx... and then I find another sick cat... LOL.
DVDs can wait, kennel cough cant.
