Hi, just to clarify - I am not worried about pack structure or who is or isn't dominant. Doesn't really matter to me, I'm the boss and that's it. The dogs do mind, except for the charging of the door. Mine WILL mind much better as soon as I start working with her again, which is why I posted on this board. I've been on this forum for several years.
I only spayed her so she would not come into heat. That's it. Not due to behavior issues. I don't want puppies out of her. I don't have concerns about her being "fearful". She's not that bad. She just needs to be exposed to more people and gotten out and walked more frequently than she has in the last year.
And you are right - training and proofing is what counts. I am not going to train my room-mates dogs any further than the fact that they will mind me when I tell them to do something. They aren't mine. But my dog, will mind. And she does in most things, she's a great dog. Just she has recently started this and I want to nip in the bud.
Thank you.
(And I did just purchase the DVD's e-collar training and establishing pack structure)
