I rigged up my own charger with a 12V car battery trickle charger and pins I bought at the indian equivalent of radio shack. It works really well. Dennis, how you got so much more life out of it? I'm going to try it differently and see if that helps. Once I thought about it more, this particular collar is definitely LESS than two years old.

We use them daily and they're off the charge, on their necks between 2 and 5 hours. Haven’t had to use the stims in a while but the warning vibrate gets used a bit. Not sure if that makes a difference but even after some days of 5 – 7 hours, the light is always bright green when I take them off. Never thought about the fact they had a battery that may need changing.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't realize they had a battery either until Doug mentioned it the other day. At first I said "No hon, they get recharged!" and he looked at me with that look which caused me to stop and say... "ohhhh.... its recharging a battery....." Duhhhhh. HERE's your sign! (hey, we all gotta learn!)
