I recommend a good photo editor for inside shots with any dog along with any help your camera will give you. I use adobe photoshop elements. Even then I find the black dog pics rarely turn out, especially if you have florescent lighting.
Pictures, lots and lots of pictures. Hours and hours of sorting through, culling the really bad, the hohum and so so pics. Delete is a good button.
Now that you're down to the acceptable snaps. More, yep more time, going through playing around with cropping, enlarging, color saturation, etc on the the pics you do like.
Black is difficult. I always like to get the shine of the coat but it never turns out in the sun. I think I have better luck when I can get some in the shade or a slightly overcast day.
