Ed said if he pee'd in the kennel to put him back in it. I saw a video on it. I didn't put him in right away.
He pee'd in the ex pen area
Nick, what video does Ed say that in?
you should've taken the pup out before putting him in the ex pen.
or taken him right out of it when he woke up. Were you at least in the same room as the ex-pen, or did you put him in it and leave the room?
get on a schedule with the pup and watch him closely. All puppies will give you some sort of an indication that they are going to pee or have to pee/poop.
Sniffing the ground alot, turning in a circle.

We need you to reply to these answers, Nick.
Opening two threads an hour and not ever responding to the two from the last hour is not going to work.
You have to say "I get it" or repeat back what you hear the advisors saying.
We have never had to say this (that I recall), but many people feel that their replies are a total waste of time. This has to be addressed, because you keep opening new threads.
So .... please acknowledge the last threads you started before you start new ones. You're right there at the computer about to start new threads - perfect time.
Gambit will bark in his pet taxi when I have him in that. I put him in a small pet taxi in the house away from us because he was bark NON STOP for almost 15 minutes. I made the mistake and realized it tonight. I took him out and put him straight into the expen after hearing him bark in the pet taxi. MY FAULT! As soon as I set him down he squatted to pee. I don't understand him squatting to pee either really because he's a boy dog. Anyways.. I picked him up got a little pee on me and took him outside and said "go potty" and he went.
He's held his potty for me one day when I missed my alarm. I got up realized I'd over slept by about 3 hours and jumped into my pants FAST. I took him directly outside and said go potty and he went pee and poop.
Most boy puppies lean or squat to pee. Then some learn to lift their leg later.
My male is now 2 and our other dog is a female, he has never learned to lift his leg. It doesn't really matter to me.
Interestingly, there are some female dogs that have been seen lifting their legs. Not common, but it is interesting.
Nick, just make sure that you start picking up on clues. Intense sniffing and walking around in circles are definite signs Gambit has to go.
The more often you take him out, he starts associating going potty outside.
