Can they really come on to your property and enter your houses/barns/structures without a warrant?? Can they force you to stay put and not allow you to move freely on your own property??? I mean, it's not like she was a suspected terrorist!
It's always one extreme or the other. There are people in my area who really do have animals in severe conditions, and Animal control does nothing.
This scares and angers me what if they decide that that a person is abusing their pet because they actually want a well trained pet instead of a misbehaved family member. For ex Some women allows her two dogs to mark in her house because they were "abused" and deserve some slack, that is ridiculous
In all honesty, I'm impressed with how she appeared to control herself. I'm no hot head, but under those circumstances, they may have had to arrest me.
My grandmother used to answer her door with a shotgun. Things sure have changed.
As bad or even worse to me than the warrantless entry, was also allowing a private organization on her property as well (the "House Rabbit" people). I can just imagine if PETA showed up on our place and found the dog training equipment shed! "Look at all those evil prongs and sleeves and a bite suit! These people are obviously crazed killers and animal abusers! Let's grab all the dogs and kill them cause they've obviously been horribly abused and trained to be vicious!"
