Wow...I think he has some research to do. Most well trained, bonded older dogs wouldn't do much more than wag their tail. The poor dog that ends up with that guy has my prayers.
It is depressing. But you can also turn around and see how many people are really changing to meet the needs of their dogs too. Look how marker training has expanded. Look how readily available the information on how to find reputable breeders and rescue is. There are lots and lots of really bad dog people out there, but for every one of them there is someone willing and committed to their beloved pup. Think of your pups and the homes you approve for them. I'm guessing they have great people to help them along and you won't be the one who sends a dog to a place that doesn't "get it" Maybe tomorrow that will half way be comforting...

It's so true. Up until a few months ago I had NO idea about what a responsible vs irresponsible breeder was. I had no idea that buying a puppy from a pet store was contributing to the problem. A little time on the internet and a) I figured out that NO - I did not want to buy a mixed breed dog from a "breeder" b)I found this website c) discovered the benefits of raw feeding
There are lots of people out there that just need a little education to become better dog owners. The education is becoming more and more accessible.
No, if for some reason we had entered an alternate universe and I sold you an 8 month old puppy today it would not bite an intruder breaking into your home tomorrow night.
Ok, I feel better now.
Everyone knows its 9 months. Gosh what a dope! You should have told him its like kids dressed up as cops for Halloween....its only the ones over 5 that can arrest somebody.
On a good note at least the lack of knowledge showed up before you placed a dog. I'm sure it is discouraging! My dad only bred one litter of pups in the US and that was over 40 years ago because he said there were not enough homes that could do right by the dog. I figured with the internet you'd have a larger pool of qualified owners but I didn't think you would also have a larger pool of disqualified owners!
