That's what I did... after cropping it, it still was too large, so I resized it and saved it as a "Copy".
BTW, Tracy, you are da bomb! Thx for all the help.

You probably have to change the "IMG" tag...I'm guessing photobucket gave it a new tag after re-sizing. Or something.

Cheryl;
Your image is pretty small. You might want to crop it, which would make the dog bigger while leaving the image size as you want it.

The new IMG tag appears if you "save as" (which I prefer). You must then recopy the new code. If you just "Save", rather than "Save as", the code remains the same but the image is permanently changed.

In the photobucket album, the thumbnail will have a tab for "edit". Click that and you will be given several options, including crop and resize. Make the desired changes, then "save as". Go back to the album, copy the new img code, paste it over the original code, and submit. The new img code (for thr resized copy) will be almost identical, so pay close attention to which photo you copy.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm hoping someone can help me add a picture to my signature from photobucket. It's changed since this post was last edited.
Thanks in advance.

Get the URL for the photo.
Go to your Profile and Edit your profile.
left bracket img right bracket then the URL for the photo left bracket then /img right bracket
put it all together with no spaces and it should show the pic. Can't put the brackets in here as an example as the whole post will come up blank.
img url for photo /img
with enclosing brackets around img and /img
