Oh yes, that sounds FUN!! Around here it's "skijourning"...dogs and horses pulling skiers...that looks like a blast, too. Do you have snow where you live??
I've heard the term before but never looked into what it was all about looks cool. I have ridden with her running beside but I have to take it slow or she couldn't keep up and I don't think she would pull.
I've been around MB's since they started and never thought of that for sure would be fun with a dog into pulling or sledding.

I do I started with wanting to Skijor last winter, but the harness I ordered took 7 WEEKS to arrive. And wouldn't you know it, it was the first day with no snow at all on the ground.
But it's actually worked out well because the bike seems to be a really good way for her to learn. I'm hoping it transfers over pretty easily this winter. We'll see she loves to pull.
That was so cool! I really enjoyed it! It would be nice to try an actual race sometime if I could get Hobbes 100% past his reactivity that is if mutts are allowed to compete.
I do some bikejoring with my dutchie. I used to ride my bike in front of him while he pulled my ex-b/f on the trail in an x-backharness. He thinks he isn't supposed to pull me. I have been working on that with the neighborhood kids helping me. He keeps stopping at looking back like "sure you want me to pull you? I'm not in trouble am I?"
I also have a "walkydog" I use with a skijor harness. The problem is its doesn't stay clamped down and moves because he pulls so hard. I think if I put something else underneath the part that clamps on it would grip better.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
