I had a cat that would jump up and hang by her paws on the chopping block whenever I cleavered chicken. I had to give her quite a few corrections to finally get her to stop it. She was determined to be a Stumpy.
Zoey goes crazy when I pull out some raw beef back ribs. This is when I ask her to perform something for it or should say attempt to because her excitement is so high she has trouble concentrating or focusing. I'll ask her to back into heel and she will almost do a 360 it's comedy, or do you think cruelty........LOL.

Ever cook a batch of bacon? That smell can trigger the entire repertoire of each dog, elbowing each other out of the way in order to be the one right in front of my
eyes.
Mine always look 'hopefull' when I am in the kitchen & they come & lay down & watch me, thinking that I just might drop something their way. Funny thing is that I NEVER do that. LOL But hope springs eternal. :-)
That sounds good about now so off to get some bacon and test my dogs with it. I'm sure they'll go crazy for it but I'll be sure to save some for tomorrow's breakfast burritos, burritos R 4 me.
Off topic on the cat marker training... we had a little grey cat named Colleen who learned to sit and down on command and even started offering behaviors. Had we wanted to, she could have been an agility cat or learned a bunch of cool tricks. She was one smart cookie. Looked both ways before crossing the street. Too bad I didn't know about marker training back then. Best cat we ever had.
