Melissa, when I talked to the surgeon yesterday, she mentioned that she had been hoping it was indeed something like a sebaceous cyst, but that it definitely was not.
The dog I had just prior to the two I have now developed a lot of benign fatty tumors in her later years, so I have quite a bit of experience with those, too. Like the sebaceous cysts, they're a nuisance but generally harmless.
I'm hoping for good news, but I'm prepared for it not to be. On a lighter note, Tash is feeling much better today. She'll be back to herself in no time.

My vet called this evening with the biopsy results. Good news! It's not cancer. It is a histiocytoma. She read me the complete pathology report, and I don't remember all the details as I just kept hearing words like "not cancer," "benign," "non-invasive," and I knew I would be getting a copy of the report, anyway. When I do, I'm sure I will be researching histiocytomas.
