Cuervo- Begin to trial in Nosework in the next 8 months
Lilly- Become the first Pug to hold Nosework titles
Dash- Get him over his new dog issues in agility and start trailing ( he was attack on and agility field and hurt so he has a hard time working if new dogs are close or barking) I am hoping to trial him next month- fingers crossed.
Kona- Figure out some way to control her food motivation so she can use her brain, and use it for good not evil . Start her in Nosework, and trail in agility in the next year.
Myself- Lose some weight so I can keep up with my dogs in agility and make more time to train my own dogs and a little less for rescue and clients.
I want to move from Rally obedience to formal obedience for trialing next year, and in preparation for that I'm going to re-train the heel, following ME's "Focused Heeling" to the letter to achieve a perfect precision heel!
In Rally, Mitzi was sloppy, sniffy and laggy, but still titled. Now I'm after high scores, dammit!
Oh, and I guess I better work on getting her to let a judge touch her, too.....
Throughout the winter, my goal is to focus on more engagement training with all of my dogs using the ME tug DVD. It is fun to work on this kind of thing when the weather is bad.
With Grace, she is old and retired My goal with her is to keep her active and healthy as she approaches 10 years old.
With Kira, we will continue "playing" at agility. She could trial, but I am not interested lol.
With Vigo, we will continue working through his fear issues. He is also taking advanced obedience and rally obedience classes right now. My main goal with him is to allow him to grow up a bit too...he is an immature pup
I have got to get my dog to stop barking and growling at every dog he sees. This is a real challenge. Then, just improve his obedience with distractions. Then more work on frisbee and tricks.
