I can't find it either. I consider the adult version of their so-called low-residue food to be one of the worst of the crap-in-a-bag foods, based on poor-quality grains and preserved with ethoxyquin. I would be very surprised if the puppy version turned out to be an acceptable food. But I could be wrong.
I brought up the food because of possible concerns about diet factors that can trigger excessive thirst, but when you said Iams Vet Formula I became generally concerned about the food quality.
I will look further tomorrow for the ingredient list and guaranteed analysis for the food you have.
I'm thinking, though, that while I have read and heard of puppies who seem to exhibit excessive thirst but really just like to play in the water, wanting to chug a couple of bowls full of water one after the other would probably trigger alarms for me. I'd probably call the vet.

I would still be calling the vet over the excessive thirst.
That Iams is not one of the foods recalled for toxic levels of Vitamin D recently. So I would want to rule out kidney problems, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, liver problems, and the rest of the possibilities behind excessive thirst (and the vet's decision, first, about whether it is excessive thirst). JMO.
Also, maybe Dr. Betty will see the thread.
If you will bump this thread tomorrow morning, I/we can walk you through a gradual switch to THK. A puppy with (1) a history of diarrhea and now (2) a history of a food based on grain fractions is going to need a very careful and gradual food switch.
I can't outline it right now but will be happy to in the morning.
