Craig,
I want to thank you for making me want another puppy!! What a handsome guy...more pictures as he grows please!
______________________________________________________________
As for an intro, I am married and share my home with my hubby, his 25 yo nephew and our two dogs and one cat. Dogs are Daisy, my hubby's elderly Cairn Terrier, and Vigo, my almost 2 yo GSD. Cat is an old man named Oliver, who avoids dogs at all costs
I also share my life with my parent's two GSDs: Grace (10) and Kira (almost 6). When I moved out of my parents, I wasn't allowed to take them with me...gee, wonder why lol. We joke that I have joint custody and they are often at my house.
I can usually be seen walking three GSDs with people staring at me in my free time or training in agility and obedience...just for fun, as I don't compete. I also help my mom run a raw dog food and treat company in my spare time.
Dogs are absolutely my passion...I am certifiably the "crazy dog lady" and I love every moment of it!
Here is recent pic of my gang Not a good one, but you get the idea. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a304/GermanShepLuv/78bbc82b.jpg

Welcome to all the new posters!
I've been on for a while now. When I first signed up I didn't have a dog. My 3rd collie had recently died and I was researching breeds while waiting to be ready for a new dog.
Almost 3 years ago now, I got Gracie, a Toy Fox Terrier. I know I've mentioned that she now lives with Grace but I've never really explained why. Well, Gracie had very serious medical issues that were not found by three different vets she went to. Thank heaven for two people, the trainer we sent her to when she bit two people and a vet from Syria (yes, Syria!) who came to have his taxes done. The trainer had thought something was physically wrong and had us make a vet apposintment, which we did with another, fantastic vet we'd found when one of the other dogs needed a good vet (another story). But when the vet from Syria (son't know his name) picked Gracie up and was holding her, he told my friends (I was away at the time) to get her to the vet immediately and not wait. So they called and our vet said bring her in now. I don't have all the details, but some of her feminine organs were twisted somehow. The trauma of what was going on in her body plus the surgery caused her white blood cell count to skyrocket. the vet called it a kind of leukemia. Gracie has gone through the surgery, transfussions, and chemotherapy. And the cost has added up to more than $13,000. My friends paid about $3,000 but could not do more and I couldn't afford the costs. But, the vet, who had fallen in love with Gracie but could not lessen the charges because he was working at someone else's clinic at the time, knew of a woman that sometimes helped out in these situations and put us in contact with her. Grace, after meeting Gracie, agreed to pay for all her medical care. When she does this for a dog, she insists on fostering the dog until either the owner can repay her or she can find a good home. In this case, gracie has a permanant home with her as she's not only wrapped Grace around her little paw but Grace's mastiff has adopted Gracie also. As mucha s I miss that little imp, I would not take her away from Grace even if I could ever pay her back. BTW, the vet said that being a terrier and being on a raw diet probably helped save Gracie's life.
We have three other dogs, a Pekingese, a Chihuahua mix and a mutt of unknown but definitely at least some type of spitz. The last one is a dog we're fostering temporarily. The Peke and Chi are on raw diets.
Almost forgot to mention that I'm currently in Southern California but am planning to move to Texas when I retire in a year or so (if not before).
