Duane, let me put it this way, as far as I know the only decent club is 2 hours away. As far as trials, I couldn't probably get to them w/o too much hassle. ACK sucks I can only get a CGC title, no obedience or anything else.

Not sure why, but at the trials I've attended, that part was done separate from the traffic test, and before the OB.
Okay, so I was seriously worried that my Old Timers' was getting worse... Asked around at the club tonight and I wasn't the only one who recalled that. Seems that the traffic test is not stylized, and different judges do the test differently. Didn't come up with an answer to why a particular judge would do it out of order, other than working the schedule to fit the BH components in with the other trials.
The BH can be as difficult or as easy as the judge wants to make it. That's still following the guidelines and requirements.
Same with the CGC. I've seen some that I thought were way over the level of the folks entered and some that were almost a joke they were so easy.
