Wow, Niomi, I can't imagine what a nightmare that must have been for both you and Gladiator. I am so very glad to hear that he has recovered. As you said, maybe your story will alert others to what symptoms of a bad vaccine reaction may look like. Thank goodness this is rare, but I'm just so sorry you had to go through it.
Thank you to everyone for your support, I do really hope this helps someone.
@ Betty and Natalia - I am totally willing to post the company name and lot number as long as it is allowed on here, are there any legal reprocussions from having posted it here? If not, I can always PM.
@ Betty - the vet and company both said a reaction this severe is very rare, but both agreed it is a possibility with this vaccine. I am going to try and find the other case my vet found, of the dog who had the same reaction, same vaccine but different manufacturer.

So after talking with Connie, I am not going to post the vaccine and lot info on the board. But if anyone is interested in knowing, please PM me and I can send it to you.
Thanks again to everyone here, you have been great support and helped me be able to share this hard story.

I wanted to be clear that I checked with Ed and he gave the go-ahead to post it.
Niomi wants to check out how the FDA publicizes this info first, and I promised to help research it; she was understandably concerned about her vet, etc., and thought that for right now, PMs would be better.
