Haha I was going to pick that one up, I have to get a tug first too.
You might want to get the DVD first, before you buy any tugs -- my understanding is, even if you are buying the hard copy DVD, you get a free streaming version right away -- because ME will go through the best types of tugs to use, size, material, style, etc.

Rob,
Michael ellis has great videos out there! I learned a lot from Ivan as well -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxeTudWHKFc ........ Only advice I would give is to get a tug that will fit in your back pocket with 2 handles.. And less is more when your starting out. It's very easy to overdo a play session.

Agree with Cheri and Matt. Study techniques from the best trainers and you will get a better idea of which tugs are appropriate for your training. As Matt said, two handles are important. Targeting, grips, and the dog's neck can be adversely affected by the improper use of a single-handled tug.
ETA: IMHO, you should view videos from ME, Ivan Balabanov, Bart Bellon, and especially Bernhard Flinks. They are all similar (except maybe Bart), yet each brings something different to the table.
