mine is great with other dogs but has a very rough play and barks and woofs so can come across a bit much for some dogs. She does charge up which we have to be on her for as its impolite. She is a Velcro dog to my fiancée and follows him step for step everywhere. She can fling her drool to the ceiling and has flung it on people we don't know before. She lets me kiss and maul her and is so tolerant. like others have stated she unfortunetly is not very bright at all but gives us a good time laughing at her for it
old age means realizing you will never own all the dogs you wanted to- unknown
When I was a kid, living in Italy, we had local farmer friends that had them. They roamed the hills with the livestock, or road shotgun to the market on donkey carts. They were quiet and kept to themselves.
I have only started to see and hear about them in my area in the past five years. Most, as Bob said, have been
Nervy, fear biters, BUT they have been paired with wrong owners.
Gosh, the drool flies.
Worked with about 20 of them. When rubbed on my legs soaked of drool.
After taking them all out water and feed i was WET! hahaha
But you come to ignore it when you fall for them.
On the other hand i didn't notice as much fur around as a lot of other breeds. So one makes up for the other.
Some can be aggressive. Lots of variables towards this. Let a good breeder help pick a pup for you. Follow leerburg and a local pro trainer.
Thank you everyone for the replies. The drooling is probably the only problem as far as I am concerned. A CC is what my husband would like for his next dog. It will be a little ways down the road (I hope) because we will wait until after his male GSD Justice goes. He is currently 12 years old. And possibly after our male dobe goes, he is 11 years old. We do want to go to a breeder, hopefully in Central Florida somewhere. Does anyone have issues with separation anxiety? A few people are talking about velcro dogs, and I know that lead to anxiety with my dobe when he was younger.
