My wife and I had been feeding a 2yr GSD Chicken soup all his life and a 6yr old shep/rot mix a little longer than 2 years with good results. We switched to EVO on both about 4 weeks ago and the results were outstanding, poo was cut in half and sheding has all but stoped. In the past I have had a hard time getting my GSD to eat but he cleans the bowl with the EVO. We just adopted a 1yr old GSD who was eating what ever was the cheapest at the time, he has been on EVO for about 3 weeks and is showing the same results as the other two dogs. He is sheding like crazy but we think that will slow with time. I hope this helps (It's my first post)
We have 4 dogs, all were on Chicken Soup brand - 2 on Adult and 2 on Puppy formula. All did very well on it, although 1 pup's "poots" were deadly from it. After reading the raves on Evo, we decided to try it and slowly mixed it in with Chicken Soup to make the transition easier on their stomachs. Well, we noticed that all 4 dogs gradually started to lose interest in mealtime. One adult would sniff and walk away, other adult would eat slowly, the 2 pups wouldn't even finish the food most of the time. Guess there was just something about the EVO that they did not care for. Will finish it up but may stay on Chicken Soup after all and just learn to carry a can of air freshner for the stink-pot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Proud Mom of Abbey (aka "Moo") - my true soul mate...I miss you terribly and will see you at the bridge...
I've had the same problem on Evo. At first, my dog lapped it up, but gradually, he lost interest. Right now, he'll barely touch his breakfast, and at dinner, he just picks at it. Oh well, he needs to shed a few anyway. I'm thinking now that I might go back to the raw diet he was on as a puppy.
