But that bloody water from the hose is still to hot to cool down. Even if it were - it is not only a question for myself but for the dogs. They hate the hose. Don't forget they were born a brasilians and they probably feel more rapidly cold than I. Though, I can't ask them

Well, actually it's not really hot, but too warm. Of course it cools down after running a while, but it remains too warm to cool ME down. But I'd wonder how it is for the dogs. Maybe it's not the temperature which disturbs them, I suppose they don't like to be sprayed When I wash them, I use a water can. This they enjoy.
If we swim they behave awfully crazy afterwards, run about, chase each other, roll in the lawn like idiots. Is this a normal behavior of dogs, or are just mine like that?

Yes, Carolyn, very good for the plants, but the dogs are very bad for them. We had to build fences asound all plants, which break easily, for during their crazy half an hour each evening they chase each other insanely. Then the water hose is again usefull to moderate them a bit if they exaggerate. On the other hand it's more fun than the best film to watch what they offer.

And here I am happy nights are still -1c, and days up til this weekend are 4c.
Our permafrost is 4 inches down.. 6 under the big moss lumps.
Harry and I are looking for a freezer to summer in.
Next week, 18c. I will cry tears of sweat.
Yes in summer I'm soakingly wet. We have air conditioners in some rooms, but as my dogs are outdoor dogs, this doesn't help much.I read somewhere (but forgot where) that there exist cooling jackets for dogs. If for people too I don't know.
