Hi Ed:
Unfortunately, Linda Genteel has been around for a while. She's written thousands of letters about everything under the sun and she's completely whacked. In a way it's a perverse compliment that you're considered important enough to make her list. Here's a link to an article about her that in my opinion makes her insanity abundantly clear:

The good news is that as far as I know she's harmless...

Does anyone know anything about Farmers Insurance Group? It seems this ALF fool works there.
Here is a private email I got (without the name of the person who sent it)
Open the ALF document in MS Word.
Now go to File, Properties
Now click on the Summary tab
Look at the field where it says Company -- it says Farmers Insurance Group Now look at the field where it says author -- it says uswbde20 . That's the unique employee ID within Farmers Insurance Group of the person who wrote the ALF article.
The folks at the Farmers Insurance Group might be interested to learn that one of their employees is a member of a group (ALF) that the FBI has labelled a terrorist organization.
Farmers Insurance Group might also be interested to learn that their employee/terrorist is using their company's IT resources to support the illegal efforts of this terrorist organization... for the explicit purposes of committing slander & libel, and to incite harassment and an illegal denial of service attack against a legal and respected business.
I don't know about Farmers Insurance Group, but if an employee where I work pulled a stunt like this, he would be fired.
Ed, I'll bet your attorney could get the name of the employee/terrorist from Farmers Insurance Group. Better yet, given the violent acts of terrorism that ALF has committed over the years, I think the FBI would be interested in this lead on the name of a terrorist as well.

Googled the Genteel woman out of curiosity...she's got a wolf hybrid. Interesting. She's also a piano teacher in NJ. I checked on the Farmer's insurance group, but couldn't find her anywhere.
This is a letter to a magazine that did an article on her...
Make Mine Rare
I would like to thank Linda Genteel (Ear to the Ground, Dispatches, April). After reading how she forced her wolf, Prince Wolfgang, to eat nothing but veggies, I was inspired to force my pet rabbit, Prince Victim, to eat nothing but meat in order to dispel biologists' silly theory that rabbits are herbivores. Prince Victim hasn't touched his meat yet, but I figure by the end of next week it won't be safe to stick your fingers in his cage.

Yep, E mails work *both* ways.
I might post the information on one of the conservative websites that I post on with the title :
"Is your insurance company backing Terrorists?"
Plus the fact that the women comes flat out and admits to trying to disrupt someone's legitimate business - and the document came from someones *workplace*?
Ohh...that could be "fire the offending employee or I sue you, and your business gets very negative publicity"
Ed could gain folk hero status if that happened.
Hehe...stupid people shouldn't play on the internet

Before anybody contacts Farmers Insurance it might be worth noting that Linda's letter was posted to the ALF archives in Jan. of 2002. They idealize her enough that literally a hundred or so letter/articles of hers are archived for followers to read. She may very well not be an employee of theres anymore.
Ed, I think I remember a thread with a post from a mom with 2 kids involved in dog rescue who tried to take your inventory concerning training methods--ring a bell? Anyway, I'm guessing that was Linda.
Okay, heres the embarrassing part. The only reason I know anything about this woman is due to my mom
Back in the 80's there was a huge explosion in puppy mills putting out Chows. There wasn't a whole lot going to crack down on these awful places and PETA was doing alot to get people to take notice. So my mother being involved with Chows and breed rescue sent a fat check to PETA without doing much homework and to be fair they hadn't really evolved much by then. Apparently, they don't get many big checks because they still send her requests for money etc. A couple years ago this Linda woman apparently got her name from a list and tried to enlist my mothers help in some crazy affair.
Now my mother grew up riding in rodeo's, broke and trained her own horses, eats meat, and wields a prong collar with an efficiency that even at 60 years of age can make alot of very aggressive dogs listen. So my mother doesn't have much patience for a lot of this crap.
But her impression of Linda from her brief encounter was that she was a weak, spoiled woman with a huge sense of entitlement that when directly confronted became very self-righteous, but was in effect harmless and a little sad. I believe she even tried starting some campaign against Jay Leno...
In any case her vegan wolf hybrid has probably already eaten her

Linda didn't write all that stuff. Much of it is from other authors.
The ALF article about Ed was apparently intended to be anonymous. This is typical of the ALF M.O. There are those in ALF who do the illegal stuff behind the scenes... these people remain anonymous. Then there are those in ALF who distribute information on websites and the like... they don't need to remain anonymous because they aren't the ones necessarily doing the illegal stuff.
The person who wrote the ALF article about Ed screwed up and didn't realize that their "name"... and their employer's name... was automatically affixed to it by the word processing software. Oops.

Like I told ed when I sent him that ALF link, he must be doing something right to make these nuts mad at him. I would consider it a compliment of the highest order to have enemies like these.

One should not take these goof balls lightly. The ALF and ELF can be dangerous. Read fires and explosions here. They have been implicated in property crimes, violent demonstrations, arsons, and bombings.
These causes attract domestic terrorists they don't make them. I expect the bent towards such actions is the motivator for most of these people not the cause they claim to represent.
Ed has pissed 'em off, maybe not a good thing but I also know he keeps an eye towards security at his place.
Since this is an election year we will see members of this group show up to protest against various candidates, particularly if the media will also be at the location in force. Last time we dealt with them when George W. was elected.
You LEO's on the board will undoubtedly get to be up close and personal...just watch the urine balloons and acid balloons.

Hi Kevin:
Thanks for the reality check. As a middle aged(almost dottering) woman puttering around with her dogs and garden in a very rural area I probably tend to get a little too mellow...I'm glad you guys are on the ball
