hi marc...i spoke with a guy at the "02 nationals"from austin texas that had first hand experience with"ugo",he commented that UGO was producing very nice pups and that he was a very good dog!friends of mine from NEW ORLEANS,have first hand experience with BELSHIK,THEY SAID THE DOG WAS A "REAL BRUTE",fast on the long bite, with "take down hits!seems like you've done your homework and selected a nice dog..i'm a novice to the sport, and i go to as many trials as possible,to get a "close-up view"of as many dogs as possible...some don't like"FERO",some love him!seems to me that some very nice dogs(sport)come from that line, but it always seems that it's(fero)mixed to a much stronger line!currently i'm working my 4yr.old male(enzo vom dunhill-bh/wh)from the "PEKO HAUS X ENNAZUS"line...plenty enough dog for me!ask ten different people...get ten different opinions!as i stated...i'm not a breeder or "pedigree guru",i can only tell you what i've observed.my new pup(6mo.old CANNAN V.BLITZBURG)HAS "ORFEY,NATAN,AREK,ASKO SEIGLEGRUND,TIMMY BOSN NACHBARSHAFT,GILDO"on the dam's side, bred to a czech male...drivey little booger, think i'll keep him.someone stated that you'd find good and bad, regardless of the country of origin...enjoy your pup!

Howie,
I think it is also that someone likes to drive in and focus on specific lines (Czech, German, etc) rather than get diluted with focus and experience.
I would think ( and anyone jump in) that very few people can (not will,,,) speak knowledgably about all lines, working ability etc... To me, that means seeing the dogs 1st hand and working them. You do get a lot of "2nd hand" information from people that have heard about certain dogs/lines, but do not have any 1st hand experience.
Does anyone have any info on Blacky Neuen Land?? Believe me I did a lot of research before choosing this bitch! I am still trying to find a web-site for Busecker Schloss, Pecko Haus (if they exist).. any help will be appreciated!
Does anyone also know why there are less Sable dogs from German breeders, are the black and tans as good working dogs on the whole as the sables and blacks or is there a dilution of the working lines just to get the 'red' colouration???
