Diamond is better than most but the puppy food does have corn gluten meal and corn is a major source of allergic reactions in dogs. I am sure others who use kibble can point to a better quality but that does not mean that it *is* the food, just another variable you can get under control. More likely than not its the food allergy right? This is the second go around. I am assuming it couldn't be much else. It had what the breeder said was a "hotspot" but that cleared up and the hair grew back.
This almost looks like mange where it starts at the eyes and spreads.
I have a question. SHould I use the Amitraz 12% thatr I have currently? I still have a few vials to mix into so many gallons of water.
Also have you heard of NuStock? This stuff is supposed to be really good.

Have you contacted the breeder you turned your first puppy back to, and found out if the skin problems have cleared up? That would be a big clue to if the fault is at your house or with the genetics of the pups.

OK, I found a dealer that sells the Chicken Soup brand of dog food. Its actually seems pretty good looking at the ingredients.
So you recommend that I switch the food asap. And then wait to see if anything comes about. Before I had this Mal, the female I sent back, the day before I sold her I had an English BUll Terrier. Due to the amount of publicity it got "Oooh its spud mckenzie" and some hints that someone kept trying to break into my house to steal her, and her sheer stupidity (Am. Pit BUll Terriers are stubburn but ALOT "brighter") I decided it wasn't the breed best suited for my situation. I had her for 6 months without ANY problems besides her lack of brain cells.
So I am hesitant to say it is something in my house. My reptiles, fish, etc haven't had any issues and so on (even though they are different than dogs.) One thing though is that amphinians are among the most sensitve to environmental toxins, etc. My frogs are perfectly fine. They usually start having probs long before mammals...
So your with me right? It is a really low possibility that its the house, right?

I would still try a holistic vet but the Chicken soup is a good food and if it is allergies, may help.
You may see looser stools for awhile than with the other because it does not have beet pulp to artifically bind the stools.
You may want to research your vaccine protocol. More is not usually better with vaccines; they put a real stress on the immune system.

I agree with Nancy. Chicken Soup in my opinion is better and cheaper than Innova. Innova is a great product but I've had excellent results with Chicken Soup when not feeding raw. Add some canned pumpkin to his or her food for a short while. Ed has some information on the different types of diareah )sp?) and how to treat each type. Just do a search on this site.
Good Luck,
Glenn

I would NEVER vaccinate a dog with skin problems. There is no need to give this dog another vaccine if she has had 3 already.
As far as the immune system is concerned you are making the dog sick, there just aren't the annoying symptoms.

I don't anything about frogs but could it be possible that the dogs have contracted a fungus or bacteria from the frogs that isn't harmful to the frogs??
Do you always wash your hands after dealing with the frogs before touching the dog?
