I usually put the vac in the other room and close the door as much as possible without squishing the hose. They never stop shedding, they only slow down a little. roger herod Webboard User Reg: 12-02-2001 Posts: 29 Loc: Offline	hi john...hope this isn't your first GSD...they shed!!!!you're getting all the info you'll need from the other board members.i live in alabama...up to this point my 4yr.old male(stock coat)is barely shedding,my 2yr.old female(in season)is REALLY "blowing coat",my "tight coated"6mo.old male(east/west ger./czech)isn;t shedding at all...go figure!the tools i use are standard...rake,blade,slicker,steel comb and brush.
