Thanks Will. I wish the video would have been of better quality. I should add this was Christine's first trial with Gringo. Christine competed again recently with Gringo in Norway's Championship and placed 2nd SCORING 92,95,96 qualifing for the 2005 WUSV according to Maria Eng.
Ok, I watched the video. I am not a competitor in this sport so I really can't say anything about the routine.
I kinda like when my dog splits his attention between me and the agitator (for PPD purposes) because, you never know if there is more than one bad guy (in the real world).
What if you get attacked from 2 different people from more than one area? I always liked that my dog keeps an eye on me AND keeps an eye out for what else it going on.
"What if you get attacked from 2 different people from more than one area?"
A common scenario that's trained for in reality-based protection sports.
But discuss that over in the Protection Dog area if you want please, it has no bearing at all in this case.
Christine and Gert, have posted 3 new videos of Gringo at 2005 Norway Championship. Gringo handled by Christine came in 2nd with 92-95-96. There are 2 obedience video. The first one is quite shaky and hard to watch. The second video is better it covers the dumbell retrieve. Protection video is a little better than the first one but it has been edited more. I wish the quality was better. The links can be found here under news. obedience 1obedience 2protection Norway
Are you interested in a puppy out of Gringo? If so, there's been quite a lot of recent discussion about him on the Yahoo Groups GSD-Euro mailing list. You can join and then read through the archives for more info about him.

No, I have a pup from his half-brother Eros, but have had several people from this board ask where and who to get pups from Eros, Ellutte or Gringo. I really like the bloodlines for sport. Thanks for the Yahoo links. I wish Stephanie would update the board on how her new Gringo pup is doing.

Hi guys (sowwi its been so long)
My gringo puppy is doing very well, lots of drive, its totally amazing and very quick to learn! She has much more ball drive than food drive and would so much rather play with her ball than eat her breakfast! focus work is working well (she will do anything for her ball!) the only thing that she is not quick to do is barking, but i guess that it will come eventually. overall she is a pretty well manered girl who has been confused for a groenendale (black belgian shepherd) and a labradour! (some folks just aint so smart
