Thanks for the encouraging words. Jack (FINALLY settled on a name) does show some good signs. He's starting to indicate his submissiveness in subtle ways (approaches me, places paw on my leg). I ensure he's last through any doors . . . etc.
He really is very mellow . . . I can tell he seems kind of "sad". He misses his foster mom I'm sure.
I'm glad he is doing better! Hopefully it's just a matter of time. My Milo took almost a year, but he was an extreme case. I had another Shepherd that was very depressed when she came to me and it only took a few weeks for her to come around.
