Nobody LOVES HHs. . .they just work them because they have to.
It's just like Mals, nobody really likes those freaking idiot dogs. . .they just work them because they can work.
If I presume that "the other dogs" are loved...
Quote:
LOVE ( P ) Pronunciation Key (lv)
n.
A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person , such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
A feeling of intense desire and attraction toward a person with whom one is disposed to make a pair; the emotion of sex and romance.
Sexual passion.
Sexual intercourse.
A love affair.
A person who is the object of deep or intense affection or attraction; beloved. Often used as a term of endearment.
An expression of one's affection: Send him my love.
then, after reviewing the definition of LOVE, I must conclude that the smart, more well educated people are handling Mals and Dutchies... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
And those that really know how to train, love Mals and Dutchies because they are so easy to work. Those that are used to "Volkswagons"(GSD) are not amused. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
You'll find much better team players, more creative accomplishers, more positive reinforcement, less conflict, less trying to modify other's nature, more understanding, more fun, amongst the Mal & Dutchie crowd.
If, however, you ladies like the harder approach, with more compulsion, and want to play second fiddle to one of "those dogs", well then...whenever you wake up...the Mal and Dutchie owners will still be around.
If you end up going for one that goes both ways...well...they're confused! Be careful! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
We have spend alot of time (and money)researching and importing xHH's lines into Australia. While we have only just started our journey with them I must say I really like what I have seen so far.
If you want you can have a look at what we have done so far at: http://www.users.bigpond.com/kampk9/DSindex.htm
Cheers
Chris
Congrats and good luck! I hope your Police and Military know how to enjoy what you hopefully will produce...because dogs from those lines are a handful... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Thanks for the good wishes.
I am very happy with the female that we imported and the surprising thing is that she is far easier to live with and quieter in the kennel than our Czech lined GSD's are, but with intense drive when working.
