OK. Thank you , but if you slow down a little, we want to do it without a terrible rush and without being yelled at. I don't know how much it costs, but if somebody takes her, I will try to ship her. I can research it. I will save money if needed. If i get help, its great. We are not shipping her today.
After this week is out we will get the person mentioned (I was PMd about this, I don't know if its OK to say trainer's name here) to come out, pay him to check Yume out. After that I will say here what he thinks. I need to know it before she goes, what is she like, where I am f*cking up. Screaming about my EGO is not a way to help, it only makes me wary of whoever says it, I have no ego. if you saw what illness done to me, yuo would understand. In fact, its' the opposite of ego.
We had a wonderful walk, strangely, and both enjoyed it. No incidents, no attempts to bite. No muzzle, no resistance. I got comfortable with her and took it off, she was tense but then relaxed -I tried to keep my movements slower and calmer, speak to her in friendly manner, not uninhibited per groundwork. Firm but nice. We even sat on the grass together and she did try to be pushy a bit but i just shoved her off and told her to go do her business, and she obeyed. She immediately relaxed when she saw I am not cold with her. Submissive, obedient. I said to hell with "ignoring her" and worked with her, allowed her to carry a really big stick home, played "Leave it " and "Take it", practiced "Over" and scratched her belly. No pulling, no biting. Mouthing was corrected verbally, she accepted it fine. Praised for good behaviour, shushed for bad. I am very careful not to make sudden moves, and no startles. I will try this week to keep it up before the guy comes.
Considering this turn of events, I think she needs to have her thyroid checked before she goes anywhere. I am no specialist, but this change of behaviour .... Yes, she has been like this before us. But there were no good days before. Just bad days, mostly. I am going to check out how much it costs and see if we can do it sooner than I planned, I planned to get it checked anyways, Akitas are prone to it.
I should be falling on my knees in gratitude? Wow. Guys, seriously??? Do you speak like this to strangers in person?

The people here are in it 100% for the dogs. Just to clarify why some posts seem abrupt. The dog is the priority.

Kelly has met me in person.
In the past, so have other forum members.
She can confirm that yes, I really do talk to people in person the same way I write on the forum.
She can also confirm that the dog is always the biggest priority.

And what about people? Abrupt? Someone told me "I have case of vapors", "Whiny", "case of memememe's" etc. etc. My husband read it and could not believe his eyes, called him a d•ck and asked me not to go to this forum again. Dogs are an excuse. Please, be polite to people. It's just normal thing to do, regardless of our trade. I am a designer and illustrator/artist by trade. Many people have no idea how to draw. When I used to teach I never insulted them. It's very selfish and shallow to, so what I know how to draw? Maybe they know how to save lives, or do surgery, or even train dogs. I'm not better than anyone. Also, some people ask very stupid computer questions that baffle me by their stupidity. I can't treat them in condescending manner.

Hyperbole. The opposite of "And what, tell everybody here and everywhere that we are a-holes, bad owners, horrible people and you are righteous and 'saved her life'? Because it's not gonna work like this" as a response to an offer of real help. Do you speak like that to strangers in person?
Hey, we all have emotions. The less of them we put into these threads, the better. We are all grownups. We all know that one nasty jab just leads to another.
It's counterproductive, when we all have the same priority: the best outcome FOR THE DOG.

I'm generally too busy rolling around on the ground with the dog to notice.

I'm generally focused on the dog issue (which I actually do not consider an "excuse") to pay a ton of attention to the feelings of the poster.
I try to maintain normal courtesy --- although I do grit my e-teeth as I re-type for the 13,793rd time that the puppy has to be outside when he needs to pee, and that he's not wetting his crate out of vindictiveness.
I think we do pretty well, considering that we all have jobs, families, etc., and are volunteering any help we can give. But yep, I could do better.
Right now, it would be nice if we could get completely past that and focus on the dog.

Can we perhaps just start another thread?
20 pages is a LOT.
