I really like his sweet voice...but yep...step it up or bye bye. CJ will be another to hit the road if he can't start to stay on pitch. One song I had to actually mute the TV it was so bad.
I really like Caleb & Jena. I want to see them do a rock song together.
Jena (pronounced "Jee-na! lol) was my pick from the start, but Caleb is better than I first thought. Alex and Sam will get close to the end just because teenage girls make up the majority of the voting, and that artsy folk stuff is very popular right now. Can't believe Dexter made it this far.
CJ has a classical...but not uncommon Blues/country voice. His problem is not being able to put his own spin on the songs and his lack of training. Pitch and sharp problems.
I think Keith addressed that a few weeks ago.
JEEEna has come up in my rankings big time.
I originally thought Majesty would be a shoe in but she's couldn't hang with the big kids. She's got voice, looks and personality. She could get picked up like a few other "early outs" from other yrs.
The kid with the glasses and the braces is really coming on. She's learning to control her enthusiasm. LOL!
The rocker is great! That type of voice will always be popular BUT is it TO common?! He has started showing his own personality in his songs.
Alex has a great voice and did well the other night but he's just a bit creepy looking for me.
I really like Jesica? (red hair streak). I didn't like her during the try outs because she seemed to much of a diva at the time. No one was doing it HER way and she switched groups 2-3 times. Janis Joplin flavor to her voice. Gotta love that!
Can't believe I missed out on seeing them in some local bar around Madison, WI in the early 70's when we were in school. All I knew at the time was they were making it big around Chicago but I had other things to do. Who knew!?
Did you ever have a song that you haven't heard or thought of in many years just suddenly pop into your head, completely unbidden, with no possible explanation? It just happened to me:
