The St.Louis Madi Gras celibration here in St. Louis is one of the bigger ones after New Orleans but it looks like it could be in the teens F and below O degree F wind chill.
Were below normal snow fall this yr but I know where it's all going.
Poor Boston. 7ft of snow in the past couple of weeks and expecting a couple more this weekend.
I feel for them.......other then the Red Sox.
Spring training is starting for the Red Birds down in Fla. and the feathered type Cardinals have started singing here so you know February is in high gear.
We had Gkids #3, 2, 1 all day today. Not uncommon at all but their mom, MY daughter #2 was a bit sketchy about where her and her hubby were going today.
Well, GD #3 has been asking for a puppy for her own for a yr or so. She'll be 13 in March.
They already have a really cool little 11 yr old CHI dog Tinkerbell and with all their sports activities I didn't think they really needed another dog.
Well when my #2 daughter and her hubby got here this evening...you guessed it.
8 wk old Papillon x Pomeranian puppy.
GD#3 is a very reliable, responsible kid so I know it will be well cared for as is tinkerbell.......and I'm getting a very reliable, responsible student for marker training so it's not all bad.
We're supposed to get a whole 2-6 inches tonight. You can't imagine all the whining people here are doing.
Sissies!
You can count me and Tanner among the whiners. Took me nearly ten minutes to convince him to do his morning business. I've lived in the desert since 2004. I like to visit the snow for a few hours in Flagstaff but I don't like to live in it. The puppy didn't care of course.
We've got about 3 inches up in High Ridge, MO and it's still coming down. We have Mondays off but I still have to work puppy several times. Yesterday I went to do his lured positions(sit, down, stand) and he acted like he'd never done them before.
Better than half a meter came down at my childhood home - plenty of folks had to dig from their front door to the garage this morning. I'm sitting down in georgia at a good 56F/13C and they're all glaring in my general direction - most certainly the most snow the eastern seaboard has seen in the past decade.

I got into Papillons about 25 years ago for my daughter to do agility with. No regrets on the breed. Super smart. Our 14 year old is a Pap/Pom mix, easy keeper for those young to old. A few less tools in the shed from the Papillon, but still a very nice dog for a young teen to work with. I am sure your granddaughter will enjoy working with him/her.
