It looks like either thier site is been taken down or being updated. I hope it's down. Do you know if they misstreat thier animals, and why are the dogs on the site have HUGE ears and ugly markings (I think I saw a liver color on e on that site one time.

Looks like the site is down due to non payment. As far as mistreatment, I've had two people contact me where she has dropped off dogs for them to keep while she was out of town and then never shows up to pick them up. One of the dogs was pretty skinny so she probably was on the run again and could not feed it.

Another person who trained with her said that she leaves her dogs crated all day. Seems rather harsh to keep such a big animal in a crate all day long.

As far as markings and color... not sure. Everyone who has her puppies loves them and the pictures are beautiful so I can't really say since I've never personally seen them.

This woman is running from the law. Federal Prosecutor and a law firm in Illinois are looking for her. If you know where she is please send some private emails.

She has scammed more than 6 people (25k) that we know about and other victims are trying to get in touch with us yet can't figure out how. The board has been instrumental at posts on how to contact law enforcement (all of the victims that we have found so far).

Her website has been removed, all phone numbers disconnected, and she is moving from state to state. If she is not guilty than why run???

People like this Gayle Barnes really make it hard on the rest of us! To someone that is new to purebreds and is looking for a dog with good temperament, AKC lines and solid nerves, etc. It REALLY makes it bad for reputable breeders like Ed and others. I'm glad everything worked out for you Patricia in the long run.

How awful! I can't believe that she has been able to rip off so many good people and has, as of yet, to be caught! Has the lawsuit continued? I wonder if someone could set her up? If people are looking for her, and she is still trying to sell Sheperds someone should be able to locate her and trick her into giving up her address. There's not a whole lot you can't find on the internet...

It does make it hard for the reputable breeders since there are a lot of them out there who are honest and have a good product just like anyone else selling over the Internet.

My deal worked out ONLY because she knew I was coming after her. My lawyers claim that I'm still entitled to interest on my money and the fraud issues need to be addressed (will be part of the overall class action suite if filed).

The really sad part is that it appears that she scammed another woman out of her puppy deposit money in order to give me back my money. That makes me sick!

Right now, all of the victims have teamed up and trying to find as many other victims as possible (strength in numbers). We can't believe how many are coming forward and the dollar amount keeps rising.

Once we have as many as possible, the procecutors will take over. As far as finding her, it's just a matter of time. She can't run and hide forever.

The beauty of the Internet is that it just makes the world a lot smaller.

This is really sad, how can someone do this and feel like they can get away. Why not just face the music?

One good tool is Google. If you Google "Ravenwolf Shepherds," the kennel name, you not only come up with their website but also the Rip Off Report. Buyers should take the time to run their prospective kennels through Google to pick up everything that may be said about it, be it good, bad, or simply interesting to note.

I BOUGHT A PINK PAPERED IMPORT GSD WITH XCELLENT BLOODLINES FROM GAYLE BARNES,,3000.00 CASH AND AFTER HIP XRAYS FOUND DOG TO BE A CLASSIC CASE OF HIP DYSPLASIA.I live a few miles from her original home and kennel,She said she would have a replacement pup soon of equal quality....alas she never did what she said and i neutered dog and found pet home for him,,,i am active in schutzhund so dog no use to me.
I would like to say that gayle had a nice club started in momence ill and did provide many people with pet gsd.In reality most gsd pups go to homes as pets...it is a lot of work and commitment to train dogs for service work...I am not defending her actions,but do know she has had some very serious bad things happen to her and her children in past few years...she is wrong!!!!BUT i personally am not as feverish to chase this woman and demand justice...usually what goes around comes around. So as i once heard he or she who is without sin ,,let them cast the first stone!

I can not afford to lose this kind of money,life is short and i choose to not repeat same mistake,rather than waste quality time with such a negative action,,,I say shame on me.SHE did not force me to buy the dog i willingly
