Oh, please don't misunderstand me, I posted those pictures so that people could see the versatility of the breed itself, but they are not my Drahthaar, mine passed some years back. But I can tell you that we found ALOT of people's wounded deer for them. I left my phone number at the game tagging stations, and it was $20.00 per hour, starting when we got out of the truck, IF we found your deer. I'd stay busy enough to not deer hunt myself at all. Lots of people take poor shots, the deer takes off, bleeds good at first, but then finds a mud hole, or creek bed and plugs himself up enough to where the average hunter can't track him any longer. And often enough that deer will find a place to hide and die, out of at least 100 times of doing this I only found 8 or 9 deer that were still alive, had those people not called then those deer would have been wasted, and they would find another deer to fill their tag, or take another bad shot at.
The breed is awesome, I had GSPs, but I can tell you that should I get another hunting buddy, it'll be Drahthaar.
If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking.
